Suffolk

I recently moved to Suffolk. The area were we live near Bury St Edmunds has fantastic wildlife and the Suffolk folk are amongst the very best anywere. Bury St Edmunds all sorts of surprising things (I might write pages for each of them when I have time) including:

The Theatre Royal

This is being refurbished and due to be reopened in Spring 2007

The Greene King Visitor Centre

The Museum that traces the history of brewing in and around Bury St Edmunds an Suffolk from the earliest times. There has been a brewery on the site in Bury St Edmunds since at least 1700. There are guided tours available, and they do parties etc.

West Suffolk Hospital (Eye Treatment Centre)

The local hospital has recently completed a specialist eye treatment centre which is a centre of excellence in eye surgery. You won't need it every day but it is certainly nice to have it there! You even have the choice these days between getting eye surgery done done the NHS there or having it done privately by the Suffolk Eye Surgeons.

They do cataract surgery, squint surgery, oculoplastics (eyelid tumour removal and reconstruction, droopy and watery eyes etc.) and specialist surgery on eyes and their surrounding tissue.
